ICD will present its inaugural pre-conference program and we hope you will come. The program will include the presentation “Understanding Chronic Disorganization” followed by a panel discussion led by those listed below. This will be a great opportunity to meet local professional organizers skilled in chronic disorganization.
About Our Panelists:
Mindy Godding, CPO-CD®, CPO®, a leader in the organizing industry, has mentored and educated hundreds of organizers across the country. She is a national trainer for both the National Association of Professional Organizers and ICD and has been a featured speaker at the NAPO Annual Conference each year since 2007. After six years in the industry, Mindy joined partners Sara Bereika and Cathy LeHew to form Abundance Organizing in 2010. The Abundance Organizing team continues to innovate organizing services based on a collaborative professional model and includes a licensed professional counselor.

Geralin Thomas, CPO-CD®, specializes in working with clients affected by chronic disorganization and hoarding. She works with teens and adults challenged by mental health issues, including anxiety and obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders. As an expert on disorganization and organizational dysfunction on the A&E program “Hoarders,” Geralin employs a holistic methodology and her team-organizing approach to implement the harm reduction method. This method provides a safe emotional and cognitive environment in which the situational risks a hoarding client faces can be minimized, increasing the likelihood of future progress. Geralin also works with therapists to help individuals and families manage their time, possessions and thoughts.

Dr. Julie Pike is a licensed psychologist and expert in the treatment of anxiety disorders with extensive training from Southern Methodist University, Northwestern University, University of Kentucky, Duke University, and Dartmouth Medical School’s Department of Behavioral Medicine. She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Traumatic Stress, Behavior Therapy, and Child Abuse & Neglect. Her work has also been featured in various articles for the Associated Press. As a specialist in the treatment of hoarding, Dr. Pike has appeared on seven episodes of TLC’s “Hoarding: Buried Alive,” the “Mike Huckabee Show”, and on CBS and Fox News.

Janice Russell, CPO-CD, one of the most highly trained organizing and productivity professionals in the United States, works with business and residential clients organizing space, papers, electronic documents and time. A professional organizer since 2002, she honed her expert organizing and training skills both in education and the corporate world. Janice’s Psychology degree from Duke University and Masters in Education from Vanderbilt University enable her to recognize underlying causes of disorganization and develop solutions to tackle the problem rather than the symptom. Janice and her team provide tools and methods which facilitate organization with lasting results.™
