The requirements of the certificate are:

  • Be a member in good standing of NSGCD

  • Have received CD Specialist Certificate

  • Have received the Certificate of Study in Basic ADD Issues with the CD Client

  • Complete required readings:

    • ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life, by Judith Kolberg & Kathleen Nadeau, PH.D., Brunner Routledge, 2002. Section on Time Management only (pages 144-198)

    • Healing ADD - The Breakthrough Program that Allows You to See and Heal the Six Types of ADD, by Daniel G. Amen, M.D., Berkley Books, 2001. All except Part 3 (pages 209-274)

    • Journeys Through ADDulthoodby Sari Solden, Walker & Company, 2002

    • Messie No Moreby Sandra Felton. Fleming Revel Books, 2002.

      Please Note: The book we will use is the 2002 revision not the earlier version. Also note that we will only cover chapter 5 in this book.

  • Take 6 ADD additional Teleclasses through the NSGCD Teleconference Program.

  • Pass the ADD Exam within the last 2 years. Click here for waiver information. The ADD Exam in Chronic Disorganization is composed of 20 multiple-choice questions, based on above readings and general CD knowledge. - See our Exam Page. Click here.

  • Complete an application for the ADD Specialist Certificate and mail with fees to NSGCD. The fee of $90.00 includes $15.00 nonrefundable application fee.
